About your therapist
A Therapist Who Believes in Genuine Conversation

Hi, I’m Lisa Daniels, a counsellor and UKCP registered advanced MSc trainee psychotherapist based in Warwickshire. I believe therapy begins with genuine human connection — a space where you feel heard, understood, and able to explore whatever you are facing at your own pace.

I work with individuals and couples across a range of concerns, including anxiety, relationship difficulties, bereavement, identity, and the emotional impact of dementia and memory loss.

My approach is grounded in Transactional Analysis, a practical and insightful form of therapy that helps make sense of patterns in behaviour, communication, and relationships.

What to Expect: Therapy Demystified

If you've never been to therapy before , or if a past experience left you uncertain it's completely natural to feel unsure. Here's how it works with me. There's no jargon, no pressure, and absolutely no judgement. Just a clear, gentle process designed around you.

01
The Discovery Session

A free session up to 60 minutes, no-pressure chat by phone or online. This is simply a chance for us to meet, for you to ask anything you need to, and for us both to see if I can support you in your journey. There's no obligation whatsoever.

02
The First Full Session

We set the pace together. This session is about understanding what brought you here, and what you need, and agreeing how we'll work together. You're in control from the very start.

03
The Ongoing Conversation

Regular sessions where we explore deeper themes, build insight, and develop tools you can carry into everyday life. Some weeks will feel lighter; others may feel more challenging. Both are part of the process.

04
Moving Forward

Therapy doesn't last forever. When you feel more resilient, more equipped, and more like yourself, we'll plan a thoughtful ending together. This enables you to leave feeling strong, not stranded.
